Ibiza boasts an abundance of stunning and picturesque beaches, each offering a unique slice of paradise. While the island itself is a treasure trove of coastal beauty, don't miss out on Formentera, which also features some of Europe's finest beaches. In this guide, I'll highlight the main beaches on Ibiza, starting with Cala Salada near San Antonio and working my way anti-clockwise around the island.

Cala Salada:

    • A picturesque cove with crystal-clear waters.
    • Offers opportunities for snorkelling and diving.
    • Limited parking, so arriving early is advisable.

Cala Bassa Beach:

    • Cala Bassa Beach Club is an upmarket, very expensive but chilled beach club.
    • Excellent sushi, and the lobster paella comes highly recommended.
    • Book beach beds for the best spot.

Cala Tarida:

    • Beautiful sandy beach with clear waters (can get busy).
    • El Chiringuito is a good walk-in option.
    • Cotton Club for a more upscale, party atmosphere.
    • Ses Eufàbies a  place at the other end.

Cala Comte:

    • White sandy beach but can get busy.
    • Great spot for sunset.

Cala Escondida:

    • Beautiful small sandy cove with a popular bar serving great mojitos and Sangria Blanca.
    • Gets very busy.
    • Nudist beach.

Cala Vadella:

    • Decent-sized white beach with options for lunch, including walk-ins and a supermarket for picnics.
    • Umbrellas available for hire.

Cala d’Hort:

    • Small and charming with fishing boat slips and 2/3 restaurants.
    • Nightmarish parking; arrive early or consider arriving by pedestrian means.

Cala Llentrisca:

    • Stunning remote fishing cove with pebbles/seaweed.
    • Set at the foot of high cliffs, requires a steep hike to reach.
    • Limited amenities, watch out for lizards.

Ses Salines:

    • Gorgeous sandy beach with Jockey Club (booking essential).
    • Sa Trinxa bar/restaurant with a party atmosphere.
    • Fast turnover but decent food.

Playa d'en Bossa:

    • Long, sandy beach known for its vibrant party scene.
    • Numerous beach clubs, bars, and restaurants.
    • Ideal for water sports and beach activities.

Cala Xanga:

    • Far south end of Playa D’En Bossa.
    • Fisherman huts on both sides, near the pink salt tower.
    • Seaweed and rocks for sunbathing, or head right for a super quiet cove with fishing huts.

Figueretas:

    • Closest beach to Ibiza Town.
    • Sandy sweep with showers and various bars/restaurants along the promenade.
    • Check out Little Ibiza Restaurant for grilled fish and good veggie/vegan options.

Talamanca:

    • The closest beach to Ibiza Town, sandy with plenty of great restaurants along the stretch.

Cala Llonga:

    • Big sandy beach with good restaurant choices.
    • Family-friendly with shallow waters, perfect for kids.

Cala Olivera:

    • Accessible via Roca Lisa resort.
    • Pretty small bay with rocks for sunbathing.
    • One restaurant option serving fairly decent food.

Aguas Blancas:

    • Known for its fine white sand and clear turquoise waters.
    • Features stunning cliffs and is surrounded by stunning scenery.
    • Nudist section to the left/west.
    • A steep walk from the parking area.

Cala San Vicente:

    • A family-friendly beach with golden sand and calm waters.
    • Surrounded by hills, providing a scenic backdrop.
    • Boat House is a quirky, fisherman-themed restaurant that serves great food. Other restaurants along the coast.

Cala Mastella:

    • Small seaweed/sand beach with calm waters.
    • Good shady parking and a decent chiringuito.
    • Outstanding Es Bigotes restaurant nearby.

Cala Boix:

    • Known for its dark sand and unique landscape.
    • Quieter than some of the more popular beaches, providing a peaceful atmosphere.
    • A good spot for nature lovers.

Cala d'en Serra:

    • Lovely pebble beach just below an abandoned hotel.

Portinatx Beaches (S'Arenal Gros, S'Arenal Petit, and Playa Porto):

    • Located in the northern part of the island.
    • Multiple beaches in the Portinatx area, each offering its own charm.
    • S'Arenal Gros and S'Arenal Petit are larger and more popular, while Playa Porto is quieter.
    • Head to Los Enamorados for lunch.

Cala Xarraca:

    • Head to the left side of the main public beach for a more secluded spot.

Benirras Beach:

    • Large sandy bay with multiple restaurants, beach beds, and lots of parking.
    • Iconic rock rising out of the sea, fringed with pine woods.
    • Excellent pizza place next to Elements.

Bam Bu Ku:

    • Located in San Antonio.
    • A great place to visit if you have children and would like the day out to be as fun for them as it is for you.

Cotton Beach Club:

    • Positioned on Cala Tarida, Cotton Beach Club offers a sophisticated and relaxed environment.
    • Boasts a beautiful terrace with panoramic views, making it an ideal spot for sunset cocktails.
    • Known for its Mediterranean cuisine and a laid-back atmosphere, providing an upscale yet casual beachfront experience.

El Silencio:

    • Situated on Cala Molí, El Silencio is a chic and bohemian beach restaurant offering a sophisticated atmosphere.
    • Beyond its lovely beachfront dining, El Silencio provides additional amenities such as a swimming pool and comfortable day beds.
    • A perfect blend of style and relaxation, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a refined beachside experience.

Blue Marlin Ibiza:

    • Located on Cala Jondal, Blue Marlin is a renowned beach club known for its trendy ambiance and exclusive atmosphere.
    • Features a chic beachside restaurant, stylish sunbeds, and occasional live music events.
    • Sunday is normally the busiest day of the week.
    • A pricey pick!

Experimental Beach Ibiza:

    • Found on the southern tip of the island, Experimental Beach is a stylish and secluded beach club on Cap des Falco.
