Jade and Rosie will be joining the Massage Beach Ibiza team as beauty therapists to work the summer in Ibiza. It will be their first summer working with Massage Beach, so we were keen to ask them some questions.
Read their answers in their thoughts and expectations on the beauty job and Ibiza in gerneral.

1. What attracted you to apply for the job as a beauty therapist with Massage Beach?
Jade:
The advert I saw was a picture of women who had beaming smiles. When I read the job description, I immediately thought it was for me. To be able to take my skills and my passion to a new place and have a completely new experience lured me in.
Rosie:
I’ve been working in the beauty industry for five years, I wanted to find a job in Ibiza sticking to what I know best and what better way to do it, by working outside in the sunshine in such a wonderful environment.
2. Why have you decided to pick to work with Massage Beach?
Jade:
Massage beach are the leading company in this industry & previous employee’s reviews were very reassuring.
Rosie:
From my research by looking on the website and Facebook page it seems like a very good company to work for and well established. I Also know a friend of a friend that has previously worked for the company whilst in Ibiza and recommend I went for the job role as she really enjoyed it!
3. How did you hear about the beauty job and the company?
Jade:
Online, I saw a Facebook advert after googling about abroad beauty jobs.
Rosie:
A colleague that I am currently working with follows the Facebook page and mentioned it to me when she saw your posts about recruitment.
4. Why did you decide to become a beauty therapist?
Jade:
I had a part time job in a beauty salon working on reception. I fell completely in love with how people left the salon feeling twice the person they came in as. Building a relationship with clients & seeing their satisfaction after their treatment was something I found appealing.
Rosie:
From a young age I’ve always been creative, as I got older, I used my creative skills more. For example, painting nails, doing make up etc. This has led onto learning other treatments. I enjoy working with people and customer satisfaction.
5. What experience/experiences would you love to gain this coming summer?
Jade:
Meeting likeminded people from different places & cultures. Doing the job I love, but in a completely new setting and environment to grow my confidence. Enhance my skills carrying out treatments with different products. Increase my independence and overall confidence.
Rosie:
Meeting and working with a whole new range of people from different places. I feel each salon/spa always has their own take on things so I’d like to see if I can pick up new techniques and learn new things.
6. How do you feel about representing Massage Beach as a beauty therapist?
Jade:
I feel proud & excited to get the chance to wear a Massage Beach uniform and to be working as a therapist under their name.
Rosie:
As said in a previous above answer the company is very well established and I feel proud to say that I can work with this company.
7. What do you think you can bring to the role?
Jade:
I think I can bring my past experiences & skills that I have worked extremely hard to gain and to complete treatments to a high standard. Giving Massage Beach great reviews from clients and continuing to build their business.
Rosie:
A high level of understanding of the beauty industry together with a good degree of professionalism as well as positivity.

Jade:

9. How would you describe yourself to new members of the Ibiza team?
Jade:
Bubbly, sociable & easy going. Funny & light hearted. I am hugely passionate for the beauty industry and am determined to do well in my career.
Rosie:
Hard working, I’m passionate about my work and have a positive and uplifting personality.
10. Do you have any hobbies or anything you like to do in your free time?
Jade:
I go to the gym & exercise in my spare time. I also enjoy yoga when I have a spare 30 minutes to relax. I like to socialise with my friends by going for dinner & drinks in the evenings or at weekends. I like to take day trips to explore new towns/ cities to see new things and shop.
Rosie:
When I’m not working I like to go to the gym, spend time with my family and socialise with friends.

1. What attracts you to apply for a job located in Ibiza?
Jade:
When first thinking of working abroad I knew I wanted to go to Spain & Ibiza seemed the perfect place to work hard, be successful and busy in the beauty industry. But, also to have a great social life on days off. The island looks beautiful, the sun & the sea is my favourite place to be and I think it would be very motivating to work in that environment.
Rosie:
When I first went to Ibiza two years ago I knew it would be a place id keep going back to, it’s a very popular destination also the fact that friends from home are working in Ibiza this year too.
2. What experiences are you hoping to gain during your time living and working on the Island?
Jade:
I’d love to learn a little bit of Spanish.
Rosie:
Exploring more and getting to do new things that I haven’t done before. When I have visited previously it have been restricted on time as I was on holiday.
3. What accommodation are you looking to for?
Jade:
I am looking to share an apartment with other girls working with massage beach.
Rosie:
I’m coming to Ibiza with three friends from home, one of them who has previously done a season and we’ve already paid our deposit for an apartment sharing with four others in San Antonio.
4. Have you ever visited Ibiza before? If so when? If not, why now?
Jade:
I am now in my 20’s and 21 this year, it seems the perfect time to come to a place like Ibiza, to be independent and learn a new way of life.
Rosie:
I’ve visited Ibiza four times within the past two years, it was recommended by a friend to go and as soon as I went, I absolutely loved the island. I love how it’s a place for anyone, all ages, families, friends, couples there is something for everyone and its always such a happy environment. There’s always something going on, I like the business of it.
5. What activities are you looking forward to when you are on your days off?
Jade:
Sun bathing, water sports (jet skis etc...) visiting the different towns of Ibiza and gaining some Spanish culture.
Rosie:
Spending time in the sun, exploring more of the island which I’ve not had much of a chance to do on previous holidays and seeing friends from home when they arrive for their holiday.
